Cathy is the central protagonist of Pink Panties. A bubbly little lady who, on a whim, decides to attend Lemonade High, and makes some interesting friends because of it.
♥ History
Cathy was born in Texas to Albert C. Duff and Ollie Mond-Duff. She was homeschooled by her parents. When she was 5 years old, she joined the girl scouts and spent most of her childhood with other girl scouts, along with the typical church kids in her homeschool group. There, she would joyfully sell cookies, make crafts, tie knots and go camping in between being doted on at home.
♥ Plot
♡ Lemons Into Lemonade
Cathy continued her girl scouting adventures long after it was socially acceptable, until her 18th birthday, where she'd be formally kicked out of the group. Upon hearing that she was "too old", Cathy was furious and felt lost on what to do. Right around this time, her father received a promotion at work and had to move to Fero City, Cattifornia for it, and so, they did. Initially, Cathy was sad to leave her old friends behind, but once she stepped out of the plane, she realized she had a fresh start.
She realized her dream of becoming a popstar, but didn't know where to start. It's a big city, there's lots of competition probably and her only experience was singing at the campfire and in the choir! Cathy, realizing she needed training, searched for the nearest school that had even vague ties to performing arts. Finally, she finds one...Lemonade Tree Performing Arts Academy High School, or Lemonade High for short. Before reading any fine print, Cathy signed up right away and started attending. Her parents figured that, since she's an adult, she can handle a simple school.
♡ Cat and Mouse Game
Cathy's first day at Lemonade High was rather rough and confusing. On one paw, she met Izzy and Willow, who seemed friendly and willing to help, and left the school with a whole new pack of friends, but on the other paw...Well...She had to dissect a squirrel, inhale secondhand smoke and got told her sewing was worse than a dead man's. Even worse, she had to see a plastic surgery disaster, in real life!
Upon entering the lunch room, Cathy bumped into Purrsephone, who brought her along to the Queens' table. From there, she was introduced to Heather, Dawn and Bunny and quickly hit it off with them, receiving their phone numbers and Meowspace accounts to add to her friends list. She was also warned to avoid Izzy at all costs, being told she was a crazy pyromaniac. That night, she was pressured into moving Purrsephone right to the very top of her Top 8 on Meowspace.
The next day, Cathy was forced to work with Izzy in science class, only to find out she wasn't the violent arsonist The Queens claimed she was. Izzy warns her to avoid any of the school drama, calling it a "shark tank", even going so far as to be disappointed when she found out she was hanging out with The Queens. Before she could gnaw on that, next thing she knows, at lunch time, Purrsephone and Heather fight over Heather's missing diary journal.
♥ Personality
Cathy is simply put, a ray of sunshine. Peppy and optimistic, it's hard to bring this girl down. Being sheltered growing up, she's rather naive and thus, extremely gullible. That being said, she really is as kind as she seems, being a caring friend and generally not wanting conflict. However, though she lacks a brain, Cathy fights for what she believes is right when she sees injustice.
- Autistic and ADHD, just in case it wasn't obvious enough.
- Cathy speaks with a southern accent and it's very, very noticeable.
- She is overweight, yes, but not out of shape. She is actually rather agile and sturdy, likely because she is a squirrel.
- Active Methodist Christian.
- Not picky, but really hates jello due to its texture along with years and years of Gram-Gram's cooking.
